Jake's Prom

My handsome little brother had Prom recently and I had to share some pictures of him and his beautiful girlfriend Holly because they just looked so dang good!  I love you Jake, you are a stud and I am so proud of you!

Grandma Teedoe Blast to the Past

Jacks and Pick Up Sticks with Grandma was a very common activity for us!  We always had so much fun! Love you Grandma!

GRADUATION!

I don't want to sound cocky or anything but I DID IT!  I graduated from BYU.  I had so much help in so many ways from my friends and especially my family.  My parents, my siblings, my husband, my grandparents, my roommates, professors, classmates, and my Heavenly Father and Savior are the reasons that I was able to accomplish this.  I am so grateful for the educational opportunities that I have had and I am looking forward to the next adventure.
I had a great time with my friends at the graduation and am grateful for those that came to support me.  We then went to Twigs, an incredible restaurant with an amazing atmosphere.  My parents were there, my grandparents came, and Sami and Matt came to celebrate with me and Jacob.  I love them so much.

Dream Date with a Dream Guy

Jacob asked me out on a date and surprised me with the whole thing so that we could celebrate my graduation.  He actually left so that he could "pick me up".  My sweet husband took the car to be cleaned and rang the doorbell right on time with a beautiful red rose, when I opened the door I got tears in my eyes, I love that man so much.

Jacob stayed reminiscent of our first couple of dates, we walked (walks were a big part of our courting) to dinner at Gurus, it was really delicious!  I got a fruity salad, Jacob got a wrap, and we shared the famous sweet potato fries which were great. Then, reliving our first date we went to the dollar store, we each had $5, I chose the dessert (which was gross) and Jacob chose a great craft as well as a puzzle.

Once we got home Jacob remembered that one of the things I loved most about our first date was that he sang to the music we listened to as we did our activities (he has a  great voice and quite frankly him singing shocked me).  We ended the perfect date with Next Great Baker.   I love my Husband so much.  He is everything I have ever wanted and need; I am so blessed to have him for all the ups and downs of life as well as for eternity.

Easter

Easter is an incredible time to celebrate and the whole time was with my best friend and eternal companion. Saturday started with Jacob twin cousin's baptism which was an incredible reminder of what the holiday is all about. And that is Jesus Christ, His birth, life, and resurrection.  Seeing the twins make their first covenant here on earth with our Heavenly Father helped me to think of the covenants I have made.
Jacob and I then had our own festivities, I played the Easter Bunny and hid eggs and baskets for him to find and we also colored eggs.   Next was an Easter party at his grandma's house, eating food and finding more eggs as well as keep away in the back yard.

Church was a great spiritual uplift focused on Christ and His atonement which is what Easter should be focused on, and after we got to see the Jensen family along with Whit and Jarom, it was so good to see my second family and to see Whit and Jare from Cali!  We ended the day with my family, Mom, Dad, Jake, Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma Teedoe.   I am thankful for the Savior and for His love, comfort, and His example.  He is the reason that I am where I am today. He is my rock.  Because of His atonement I know that I can overcome my weaknesses and increase and build my strengths.  I am so grateful to Him for His life and sacrifice for me.  I am also grateful for this holiday that reminds me to be more aware of Him in my life on a day to day basis.  I know He lives!

He had his head lamp on to help him find it :) he is so cute.

Trottier Family Party

These little kids are so funny!  They are all of my cousin's kids. They just thought it was the greatest thing to chase and be chased by Jacob and me.  The pictures are of Jacob in their "dungeon" and smack talking him, "You only get dirt to eat!....you are going to stay in there forever!....no more new clothes for you!...you get to live with the bugs!...".  They have so much energy! We then ended the night with story time, they all crowded around Jacob as he read them stories, and it was so adorable and quite amazing that they could calm down so quickly. Jacob is going to be a great daddy.

ICE CREAM

Jacob and I love sweets and treats and we especially love ice cream!  Thanks to a lot of great and generous people we got a few gift cards to Cold Stone.  I found out that Cold Stone's cake batter ice cream tastes EXACTLY like cake batter!! Seriously it is so so good!  So this time I got cake batter with cake mixed in.  So yummy!  We also watched Brooklyn 99, funny show.  I love that Jacob and I love the same things and we can just chill and be and have a good time.  He is the best husband.

General Conference Weekend

General Conference is always an incredible weekend! Getting to be with my family and hearing from the apostles and servants of the Lord for two days straight is incredible. First was the mission reunion which was a little more informal at a park with a fire pit. It was great to be able to see everyone and think back on good times and talk about what is new with everyone. Saturday morning we had my friend Caroline and her fiancĂ©e over for waffles with cookie butter, fruit and whipped cream!  So yummy! It was good to get to know them a little bit more. Next was strawberry shortcakes with my old companion Sister Margolies (Capps) while our husbands watched Priesthood and it was great, I love her so so much!
Sunday was great, we went to Logan to Sami's house for Conference and dinner and also played at the park.  It was good to see their little home. I love my family so much and it is made that much better by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
