Notice how children choose
something to hold onto, a blanket, a stuffed animal or a toy. There is also
a tendency to choose a favorite piece of clothing to wear every day. Here are a few of my favorite examples:
Batman! Or better known as my
little brother Jake. Haha How adorable is this right? He insisted on
wearing this everyday even in the heat of the summer and hiking up Angel's
Landing in Zion's National Park.
His innate desire to be a hero? It made him feel
strong and invincible?
Audrey! She is just as pretty now as she was back then. She loved this
dress so so much.
Did she feel like a princess? Help her feel beautiful? What
was the draw?
The grown up way. I am not complete with out these 4
things in my day, which ironically are all pretty recent additions to my life. If one is missing, I feel lost as if something is not right. An outfit is not complete with out them all (and of course a pair of very loud earrings).
Leather Boots: I love the feel and
smell of the real leather and the weaved leather strands up the sides...
Hand warmers: belonged to Audrey before she moved to San
Diego
Necklace: My
Tiffany's bird necklace which also has a great back ground story
Perfume: I love this new smell. I love
the aura it leaves around me.
What is it about this need for consistency?
Is it for comfort? Or just habit? Or is it a factor of keeping, or
possibly, making one's identity?
