Married life is even
better than I had expected! I love being able to be with Jacob all of the time
and to be able to come home to him. The past week, we have had our first bout of sickness together but it has simply reminded me how lucky and blessed I am that I have a man like Jacob to love and
who loves me back.
My first day of being sick Jacob
suggested take out from Zuppas so I didn't have to cook, so sweet. He
then tucked me in a blanket to watch Sabrina the Teenage witch while he went to
the grocery store. He came home with all the food we needed plus an extra large
box of Lucky Charms, my favorite Tillamook S'mores ice cream, and Nyquil.
What a sweetheart! He took care of me , getting me to bed early, watching
my favorite shows with me, cooking me food and just holding me. Who could
ask for more right?
Well sadly, I did not repay him well because then he got sick :(
we spent a few days being sick together doing nothing and sleeping, and now it
is just him being sick, the poor guy. So this is what we did:
- Ate our favorite
treats: Ice Cream and Oreos
- Watched our
favorite shows: Community, Sabrina, Once Upon a Time
- Had lots of
pillow talk: High School, dating, mission, Our Story (it's the best)
- Made a Craft for
FHE
- Drank our
favorite tea
- Had yucky
medicine that Jacob can barely stand
- Slept a lot
But the best part about it is that we are together, still having
fun trying to make the best of it. Life is an adventure, we just gotta
live it and enjoy the moment (Jacob is teaching me this).
This project started because we needed a border for our finger
painting poster we did on our first date. BUT it got so cool that we just
continued with the whole thing and it ended up looking pretty epic. We
made it so that it can either be a border for our poster or we can simply have
the black and white up there. Jacob and I love doing crafts together and
creating together. We obviously aren't artists, but that isn't what is
important. We get to spend time together, talk, listen to music and see
how each other's brains work as we cut, paste, and create in our own
unique ways to make something together. Jacob made the analogy that it is
like our relationship, we are different, we have different ways of thinking and
doing things but that is what makes it beautiful and that is what makes it
work. We get to add our own uniqueness to each others to create our lives
together.
